Lola's Boutique in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn first opened its doors on a warm fall day in September 2005. It is a family owned business, operated by Mariana Nuziale.

It was Mariana's dream to open up a boutique in her hood. She wanted to bring a lot of her experiences to Bay Ridge. Having worked as a Market editor for REDBOOK and Fashion editor for "YOUR PROM" magazine Mariana wanted to introduce her knowledge to her neighbors.

Her love for fashion at a young age took her to study fashion at the famed Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC, where she graduated with her two degrees in Fashion Design and Production Management.

Mariana started on Seventh Avenue working as a design assistant at a lingerie company and then on Emanuel Ungaro as a product development assistant. That position allowed her to learn all aspects of creating a fashion line to finish a product.

It is there where she met so many talented people and started to realize that her true calling was to create looks by merchandising what the wunderkind designers had created. That pathway led her to start assisting stylists and European editors from such edgy and reputable magazines as Blackbook, Dazed and Confused and La Republica.

Eventually, after many years of working with great editors, photographers and supermodels she decided it was time to strike on her own. She started freelancing as a stylist and was represented by Utopia the Agency. Mariana started flying cross country to work on major ad campaigns for clients such as L'Oreal, Nike, Glamour, Cosmopolitan and Harper's Bazaar magazine. Her celebrity roster included supermodel Niki Taylor, Kelly Ripa and John Travolta to name a few.
